Great Full Spectrum Bulb for Whole Room Illumination,
The Sunlight 85 watt CFL is an exceptionally large bulb that can provide whole room illumination. While it won’t fit in many light fixtures, the light works well in open light sockets that are often used in garages and older residential ceiling light fixtures. In my particular application, the lamp is installed in my kitchen. The single bulb is powerful enough to light the entire room with bright white light.
The benefits of bright full spectrum light include great color rendition. When I am checking my dress shirts for subtle stains, I bring them into my kitchen directly under the Sunlight bulb. The stains are far more evident under the Sunlight than under warm CFL or incandescent lights. In fact, the contrast is better than when exposed to indirect light from my Sunray full spectrum light box in my bedroom.
Another benefit of the Sunlite 85 watt bulb includes helping those exposed to wake up in morning. Sleep cycles are impacted by light exposure. This bulb provides for an exceptional dose of bright white light. In the evening, it is a bit overwhelming. So, I generally use accent and under-the-cabinet lights in the evening.
Given how expensive (and inconvenient) it is to install full size fluorescent light fixtures, this bulb is a bargain. Additionally, it is far less expensive than full spectrum light boxes. If you need whole room illumination and prefer full-spectrum lighting, consider purchasing this bulb.

|Do not order from 1000 bulbs.,
I Placed an order with 1000bulbs on feb 25th did not get an out if stock email until march 7th. I have a photo shoot on the 8th. Looks like I will have to use my 1000 watt tungsten bulb and waste electricity. 1000 bulbs should be removed from the market place! You should not place items for sale if you can not fulfill the orders. Then you don’t wait 10 days later to let the customer know product is out of stock! This bulb is a great bulb and used it for about 2 and half years before it started flickering out. Great for daylight film. Great bulb! Bad seller.
